Refunds and cancellation
This is clauses 13.11 to 13.13 of the licence agreement, said here on its own so nobody has to go looking for it.
Fourteen days, no reason needed, even if you have used what you bought. Write to info@joyremote.com and we will refund you in full.
If you change your mind
Write to us within fourteen days of paying and we will refund you in full, without asking why. We will do this even if you have used what you bought, and even where the law would allow us to refuse because a digital purchase has already been delivered.
Include the email address you paid with, or the receipt Paddle sent you. That is all we need to find the payment.
Your rights under consumer law are not affected
Nothing here or in the licence agreement takes away or limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country in which you live, including any right to cancel a purchase made at a distance. Where our policy gives you more than that law requires, the more generous of the two applies.
There is nothing to cancel
JoyRemote is sold as a single payment, not a subscription. There is no renewal, no recurring charge, and no card details are kept by us at any time. So there is no subscription to cancel — if you want your money back, the paragraph above is the whole procedure.
If we stop running the directory
The part you paid for that removes the waiting is done by the software on your own computer and does not need our server, so it survives us switching the directory off. Relay time does need our server. If we permanently stop operating the directory within twelve months of your payment, we will refund it in full on request; after twelve months we will refund any relay time you have bought and not used.
If a payment is reversed
If a payment is charged back or reversed, what it bought stops applying and the software returns to the free arrangement — the short pause before sessions over the internet. Nothing else changes and nothing is deleted.
Who to write to
info@joyremote.com. A person reads it. Payments are taken by Paddle.com Market Limited, who are the merchant of record; you can also reach them through the receipt they sent you, and either route gets to the same place.
